Note: Though he should have been in this book by Jacobin, John does not appear and the only reason I can think of; is that directly after his discharge he did not return to Washington state or Skagit Co.-except for a couple family reunions later- but settled in Battle Creek, Mich. The cards were sent to Louis Jacobin by the veterans themselves with the pertinent information after advertizing requests in Skagit Co. newspapers.
