Introduction to Edison, Washington

This photo from the Skagit Settlers book was taken in Edison in 1900 and shows Kate Schumaker with horse and buggy in front of the family home. The book is still for sale at the LaConner Museum.

This section was the model for the sections we will eventually share about every town in Skagit County. Edison is a village near the mouth of the Samish River on Edison slough. We will share more versions about Edison from different writers. These town profiles are shared from issues 7 and 8 of our optional Subscribers-Paid Journal magazine.
